Transmission Fluid Maintenance

Your transmission fluid should be changed at factory recommended intervals. Intervals will become more frequent when the usage is severe service. Although the word severe is extreme; severe is considered when the following occurs:

• Long idle times
• Towing
• Mostly stop and go traffic
• Short trips
• Dusty conditions such as a dusty road you may take to work each day

Fast Tire uses a Valvoline process to flush your transmission fluid. Often we get calls with potential customers shopping prices on a Transmission flush. What they may not realize is that a flush can be done without additives. Additives consist of conditioners for the seals, detergents to clean moving parts and open sludge packed ports inside of the transmission. A leak stop which helps stop or prevent leaks is also part of the additive kit.

If you have your transmission fluid flushed every 30,000 miles Valvoline will guarantee your transmission against failure up to 225,000 miles. As a Valvoline dealer, Fast Tire offers that guarantee. The process is a Valvoline process using the Additive Kit and Transmission fluid provided by Valvoline.
